Skin Tangent Extension 
: Options and Results
Access: Open this function from the following location:

Select Parting > Parting Surfaces > Skin Tangent Extension from the menu bar.
Generate external tangential surface extensions around the outer edges of a selected stitched skin, maintaining the original topology and surfaces directions.
Required Step 1 
In order to extend a skin, first select (pick) a skin object. Notice that when selecting a skin object, it is highlighted in BRIGHT GREEN as shown below.
Required Step 2 
Define the distance that you want the skin extended by setting a Delta value using the Delta screen parameter button. Also, if necessary, change the direction arrow (optional).
Note: The default direction of the direction arrow is parallel to the Active UCS Z direction.
The applied skin tangent extension is shown below in BLUE:
Optional Step 3 
Unpick any edges of the skin that you do not want to be extended. Click OKOK
or ApplyApply
in the Feature Guide to complete the function.
