Cimatron Catalog Functions
The following functions appear under the Catalog menu.
The table below can be sorted; it has clickable headers that sort the table by the clicked column. The table is initially sorted by Function name.

Define alternative parts in the Mechanism Assembly. These are parts that can be interchanged with one another when loading the assembly from the catalog. |

Attach a name to an entity to be used in catalog or assembly Add rules. |
||
|
Set the catalog filtering relations between components in the Mechanism Assembly. |
||
|
Create a new object that will be marked and used as a cutting object. |
||
|
Define the cutting rules for the cutting object(s). |
||
|
Edit the rules used when adding components. |
||
|
Open a catalog part's master file for editing. |
||
|
Edit the cutting parameters of a catalog part. |
||
|
Edit catalog parameters. |
||
|
Extract the features defining the part from the catalog feature and remove it. This changes the part into a regular part which is no longer connected to the catalog. |

|
Define formulas in the Mechanism Assembly, based on the dimensions of the parts in the assembly. |
||
|
Hide the cutting object(s). |
||
|
Define the Main Part in the Mechanism Assembly. |
||
|
Set the Parent/Child relations in the Mechanism Assembly. This enables you to create groups of parts that will be suppressed/unsuppressed together. It will also determine the "direction" of Catalog Relations between the parts. |

|
Save the part as a catalog master part. This creates a catalog part from a normal part. |
||
|
Save the assembly as a Mechanism Assembly master in a catalog. This creates a Mechanism Assembly from an assembly of catalog parts. |
||
|
Show the cutting object(s). |
||
|
Update catalog geometry to that defined in the update catalog master. |

This group of function is used for defining the catalog part. |

This group of functions is used to define the Mechanism Assembly. These function are available in the Assembly environment (activate an assembly in the Assembly tree). |

This group of functions is used to perform cutting object operations. |

This group of functions is used to edit the parameters of catalog parts. |
|
This group of functions is used to perform general catalog-related operations. |
