Access: Open this function from one of the following locations:
Select Mold Design > Ejection > Add Ejector from the menu bar.
Select Ejection > Add Ejector from the Mold Design Guide Toolbar.
When adding certain catalog components (such as ejectors or cooling components) to faces, you can change the diameter of the added parts by changing the diameter of the sketch circle used to position them.
This means that ejectors with different diameters may be added easily and quickly in a single operation. You can add different sized ejectors simply by changing the diameter of the circle used to position them. Varying ejector heights can be adjusted automatically by the system.
The image below shows ejectors and return pins with different diameters and heights.
The general interaction is similar to that for adding mold parts. The only difference is the dialog displayed during the required step 1.
Select an ejector.
The Add Ejector dialog is displayed with the appropriate catalog Category and Sub-Category component types automatically displayed. See the Example Catalog Component Selection Process, below.

When selecting a catalog component, the Component Selection dialog is displayed with the appropriate Category component type automatically displayed (depending on the function invoked) and Sub-Category component types displayed for selection.

When the catalog item is selected, press the Calculate Length button to displaydisplay the recommended minimum and maximum ejector lengths.
The remaining interaction is identical to that for adding mold parts.
If the Use Placing Rules checkbox is marked:
Click the Calculate Length button to displaydisplay the recommended minimum and maximum ejector lengths and show a graphic representation of these lengthsgraphic representation of these lengths.
Click OKOK or ApplyApply in the Feature Guide to complete the function.
