2.5 Axes > Cleanup 2D Pocket

Cut along the edges of open contours.

Create the Cleanup 2D Pocket procedure

See Creating a Procedure for a general explanation.

1. For Technology, choose 2.5 Axes as the main selection, and Cleanup 2D Pocket as the subselection.

2. Choose the appropriate cutter.

3. Define the contours (closed), and check surfaces.
   Cimatron prevents air milling motions for open segments, so the toolpath is created only on the part’s walls.

4. Define the following Motion Parameters:

   • Approach & Retract

   • Clearance & UCS

   • Entry & End Points

   • Boundary Settings

   • Tolerance & Surf. Offset

   • Tool Trajectory

   • Shank & Holder

   • Stock

5. Define the Machine Parameters.

6. When finished, you can choose from the following Work Mode Dialog buttons:

   • Save & Close to suspend

   • Save & Calculate to execute

   • Save Original

   • Cancel
