Replace Current Cutters with Those from Another File 
Access: Open this function from one of the following locations:
The Cutters and Holders dialog (or the minimized version - the Select Only Mode):

When not editing or creating a procedure, select NC-Process > Cutters > Cutters from the menu bar or select Cutters
in the NC Guide Toolbar. -
While editing or creating a procedure, use one of the following methods (in both methods, the Select Only Mode is displayed):

In the Advanced Mode, click on the cutter name in the Procedure Parameter Table.

In the Wizard Mode, select the cutter button.

In the Process Manager, click on the cutter name in the procedure row (in this case, the Select Only Mode is displayed).
Replace cutters in the current file/library with cutters from a selected source file. The Cimatron Explorer is displayed and enables you to replace cutters from one of the following file types:

NC file (ELT), a file that contains milling procedures with their milling motions

NC Procedures template file (PCT, TPT, MTT)
-
Automatic-drill sequence file (ELT)
-
Specially designated files for the definition of Cutters and Holders (CHL)
Replacing cutters in the current file/library with cutters from a selected source file

OpenOpen the Cutters and Holders dialog.

Click the Load and Replace cutters from Cimatron file button
.The Cimatron Explorer is displayed and can be used to load cutters from one of the file types mentioned above.

Select the file containing the cutter definitions. When the Cimatron Explorer closes, the cutter details are automatically loaded (see below).

Click OK
to complete the task. The cutter(s) are now added to the Cutter Table of the active NC file.
Cutter Load and Replace operation
The following rules are applied when replacing cutters in the current file/library with cutters from a selected source file:

If a cutter to be changed is in use, a warning message is displayed.

Any cutters in the selected file that exist in the current file are replaced.
Note: The settings in the Cutters Merging Rules Preferences define whether two cutters are considered the same.
The replace operation updates all the cutter values: After the replace, the cutter in the current file is identical to the cutter from the selected file.

Any cutters in the selected file that do not exist in the current file are added to the current file.
If a cutter in the current file uses the same name, the added cutter is renamed.

When the load/replace operation is completed, an appropriate confirmation message is displayed.
Other messages may also be displayed:

Any cutters in the current file that do not exist in the selected file are not updated; A message is displayed listing these cutters.

If there were cutters with the same name but they failed the same cutter check (Cutters Merging Rules Preferences), a message is displayed stating that new cutters were added and displays a list of these cutters.

If new cutters were added, a message is displayed listing the new cutters that were added.
Note: These messages also appear in the Output Pane.
