Deburring 1

Deburring is an application from ModuleWorks. Its purpose is to remove burrs that are usually left on external sharp edges or chamfer these sharp edges.

The machined edges can be automatically detected or manually specified. The machining itself can be done as a three, four, or full five axes toolpath, with automatic linking between segments and automatic collision detection.

The aim is to be able to create a toolpath that is fully automatic by just selecting the part geometry. Limitations are that it supports only ball or lollipop cutters and the geometry must be of good quality for the automatic edge detection to work as expected.

1. Load the Deburring.elt file.
   

2. Start a new 5X Applications > Deburring procedure.
   

3.  Click the Access button to open the Deburring Control Panel.
