Step 5 - More Mouse Functions
Rotate, Pan, and Zoom functions are available using specific mouse buttons while pressing the Ctrl key.

ZPR (Zoom-Pan-Rotate) Lock 
This function, available in the View menu or the Icon Toolbar, enables the ZPR functionality without having to hold the Ctrl key. This option enables the following mouse buttons to be used in dynamic ZPR operations without the use of the Ctrl key: left, right, middle, and wheel (scroll) buttons.

The ZPR Lock function can also be invoked by pressing the left mouse button for a specific duration. This functionality is defined in the Preferences.
Exit ZPR Lock Mode
You can leave ZPR mode in three ways

Click View > ZPR > ZPR Lock.

Press the Esc key.

Long press the Middle Mouse Button.
Selection Features
A component may be deselected, or the Selection Filter can be called up by using the mouse in conjunction with the Shift key.

Hold Shift and press the Left Mouse Button while dragging a box around a selected entity to deselect the entity.

Hold Shift and press the Right Mouse Button to display the Selection FilterSelection Filter.
