Automatically create conformal cooling curves by analyzing the part's geometry.

The Part that will be used to create the automatic conformal cooling curves. Note that this part already has conformal cooling channels. |
Automatically created conformal cooling curve. This curve is used as input to create conformal cooling channels. |
Example of conformal cooling channels created on automatically created conformal cooling curves |
Active faces that require cooling are selected and the diameter of the cooling channels is defined along with required distances from walls and from other cooling lines. The system will then calculate the optimal path of the conformal cooling channel and create a curve to be used as an input for the Conformal Cooling Design function.
Optional stages of the function allow selecting additional cooling channels (even if they were not yet cut with the part) to make sure the cooling channel stays further away from them and also to select a closed object that defines a virtual volume used to split the cooling circuit into several circuits.

General Interaction
The following is the Feature Guide for Auto Conformal Cooling.
|
|
Required Step 1 : Pick the active faces that need to be cooled.
Required Step 2 : Set the cooling parameters and pick the In/Out points, if required.
Optional Step 1 : Pick additional closed object(s), such as cooling channels (even if they were not yet cut with the part), to make sure that the created cooling curve circuit stays further away from them.
Optional Step 2 : Pick a closed object that defines a virtual volume used to split the cooling circuit into several circuits. The circuit may be created either inside or outside the virtual volume.
