Create multiple contours from all the curves that are displayed.
Faces Boundaries, Outer Only
Create multiple contours based on one of the following dropdown list of options:
From Curves
Create multiple contours from selected curves.
Faces Boundaries, Outer Only
Create multiple contours from the outer boundaries of groups of selected faces.
This is the default option, except for 2.5-Axis procedures - see the Vertical Walls options below.
This parameter also appears when creating Automatic Boundaries. See Automatic Boundaries for additional information.
Faces Boundaries, Inner Only
Create multiple contours from the inner boundaries of groups of selected faces.
This parameter also appears when creating Automatic Boundaries. See Automatic Boundaries for additional information.
Faces Boundaries, Outer and Inner
Create multiple contours from the outer and inner boundaries of groups of selected faces.
This parameter also appears when creating Automatic Boundaries. See Automatic Boundaries for additional information.
Faces Boundaries, from Vertical Walls
Create multiple contours from the boundaries of the vertical walls of groups of selected faces. The system automatically applies Z-Top and Z-Bottom attributes to each contour, which can be used or refined. The Z Values Source parameter enables you to use the same Z-Top and Z-Bottom parameters for all contours or to use varying heights for each contour.
This is the default option for all 2.5 Axis procedures. For additional information on the automated machining of vertical walls using these Pocket and Profile procedures, see the Z Values Source parameter explanation.

A group of faces may have one or more faces.

To explain this option, the following example is used:

All the displayed curves: Press the Select All Displayed Surfaces option:
In this case, all the displayed curves are selected by the system, as shown below:

When you press OK to finish the contour selection, the contour labels are displayed and you can see how many contours were created (in this case 2):

Click on the labels to highlight the individual curves that make-up each contour.
