Interrupting an Execution Operation (not NC)

When a Cimatron operation is executing, you can interrupt the execution at any time by pressing the ESC key. This applies to numerous non-NC operations; for NC, see Interrupting an NC Execution.

Pressing the ESC key during the execution, enables you to stop numerous operations, such as for example, the creation of a new feature, some file format conversion operations or a regeneration process.

Interaction

When the ESC key is pressed during an operation, an appropriate warning message is displayed enabling you to either stop the operation or to continue it.

Specific Interrupt Instances

  • If a new feature(s) creation operation is interrupted, the feature(s) are not created and the system displays the edit feature mode.

  • If a regeneration operation (in the Part or Assembly environments) is interrupted, the Conflict Solver dialog is displayed with a message informing you that there was a feature creation conflict as the operation was interrupted.
