Wireframe Menu: Datum Tools
Group of functions used to create a work environment, including datums.
The functions included in this group are:
Create a datum plane. This plane will not be included as part geometry, but rather will act as a reference plane or as a plane for sketching. |
Create a datum axis. This axis will not be included as part geometry, but rather will act as a reference axis within part and/or assembly files. |
Using the Machine Preview tool, in addition to the part, cutter and holder, you can also view the entire machine and fixtures, inside the NC programming environment. You can manually move the machine axes, considering the machine kinematics and travel limits, to an optimal orientation. Once found, an appropriate UCS is defined to be used for programing the procedure(s). This function is displayed if an NC file is active. |
Create one or more User Coordinate Systems (UCSs). Every file contains a default UCS; additional UCSs can be created and positioned as required. |
Activate a UCS. |
