Wireframe Menu: Modify Curves Tools
Group of functions used to modify existing curves.
The functions included in this group are:
Approximate a spline(s), an ellipse edge(s), or a composite curve(s) to primitives curves such as arcs and lines. |
Modify an Auxiliary Contour (PolyLinePolyLine ) created in the Numerical Control (NC) application. In NC, the PolyLine entity is used as the output contour of the new NC procedures. These contours represent intermediate results of the NC algorithms and can be used as input for other NC procedures. |

In Cimatron, a Cookie is an automatic curve offset and extension. Cookies are especially useful in die design and strip development because they quickly automate the overlap of punch areas; however, the Cookie function has many applications outside of die design. For example, for clearing pocket corners or creating contours for Wire EDM. Cookies can either extend an entire edge or just act in selected corners. Several options in the Cookie function provide complete control over every aspect of the shape and offset distance. |
Modify a curve by defining a set of constraints. |
Change the shape of the curve by fairing it (smoothing and reducing the number of control points). |
Merge several wire frame bodies into one body (for both 2D and 3D entities), combining composite curves into one wire-body and more. Unmerge performs the opposite operation. This ultimately enables the fast creation of faces. |
