Die Preferences > Force Calculation

Access: Invoke this function from one of the following locations:

Select the Preferences button from the Quick Access Toolbar, or
Select Tools > Main Tools > Preferences from the menu bar.

Navigate to Die > Force Calculation.

Set the default Force Calculation preferences.

This will affect the result of Die Forces and enables you to have more control over them.

Force Calculation: The force calculation employed depends on the type of operation being calculated. For additional information and to define some of the values used in force calculations, see the Die Force Calculation Preferences.

The following Force Calculation preferences can be defined:

Trimming Operation	Define the Trimming operation factors for the calculation of forces.
Unbend Operation	Define the Unbend operation factors for the calculation of forces.
Forming Operation	Define the correction factor for the calculation of forces for forming by the finite element engine (FTI).
