Depending on your work, you may only have use for certain parameters in the Parameter Tables. To display only the parameters that you need (your preferred parameters), you can hide or show individual or multiple parameters in one or more branches of the parameter tree. This is known as your Preferred Look.

Notes:

  • The display status of parameters applies for all procedures; i.e. if a parameter is hidden in one procedure, it is also hidden for all other procedures where it would normally appear.

  • Press the Access button at the top of this Help topic to display ways of saving and loading the default look.

The parameter Hide/Show process is described below together with some examples.

The following icons are used for hiding or showing parameters:

/

Hide/Show individual parameters.

/

Hide/Show parameters in individual branches of the parameter tree.

The display state of each icon is as follows:

Show the parameter.

Hide the parameter.
This parameter remains displayed until the branch hide/show icon (explained below) is set.

While a parameter marked as hidden is still displayed, this parameter can be used normally.

For the relevant branch of the parameter tree, all parameters are displayed, even the ones marked as hidden .
See the examples below.

For the relevant branch of the parameter tree, show only those parameters marked as shown . These are your preferred parameters.
Parameters marked as hidden are not displayed.

See the note above regarding how the display status of parameters applies for all procedures.
