Approach
Arc Radius
The radius of the tangential approach arc.
Arc Radius for Horizontal Tangential
Arc Radius for Vertical Tangential
Extension
Distance to extend the toolpath after approach.
Delta Z
The distance above the horizontal plane at which to start the rapid plunge approach.
DZ/Feed Start
The final part of the approach distance performed at a slower speed.
Cutting Mode
Select from the following options:
- Climb―The cutter will be on the left side of the cut contour when facing the direction of the cutter movement.
- Conventional―The cutter will be on the right side of the cut contour when facing the direction of the cutter movement.
Ramp Radius
If the Ramp Angle is less than 90 degrees the cutter approaches using a helical motion; This value sets the radius of the helix.
Ramp Angle
Angle of cutter entry into the material. An angle of 90 degrees means that there is no ramping.
Ramp Direction
Select from the following options:
-
Tangential―Connects with the tool path start point tangential to the contour aligned to the tool plane and in the cutting direction.
-
Opposite Tangential―Connects with the tool path start point tangential to the contour aligned to the tool plane and opposite to the cutting direction.
Ramp Zig
Select from the following options:
- One Way―The tool ramps in a one direction.
- Zigzag―The tool changes direction with every new cut.
Zig Zag Length
The distance the tool travels before changing direction
Retract
Cutting Mode
Select from the following options:
- Climb―While moving, the tool mills using the Climb method.
- Conventional―While moving, the tool mills in Conventional method.
Arc Radius
The radius of the tangential retract arc.
Arc Radius for Horizontal Tangential
Arc Radius for Vertical Tangential
Extension
Distance to extend the toolpath before retract approach
