A Cimatron Post Processor is a program that translates Cimatron NC (Numerical Control) data (toolpaths and procedures) into specific CNCCNC(Computer Numerical Control) machine tool commands (machine code). These commands are known as Posts or G-Code programs (see the Glossary for additional information on G-Code).

The Cimatron NC toolpath(s) represent the path(s) your machine's cutter will take while machining your part. The toolpaths do not reflect the specific CNC commands of the machine you will actually use to cut the part.

The Post Processor software takes the toolpath and processes it into the specific Post (G-Codes) required by your CNC machine.

In Cimatron, these Posts are created by your Cimatron Provider or Reseller (for the CNC machines that you specify), using the following post processors:
