This section describes how to activate your copy of Cimatron. You will need to have your Entitlement ID (EID) to activate Cimatron – this EID may be provided for you ready for use on a dongle, or as an email. Your Cimatron Entitlement file (EID) contains information about the Cimatron features you have purchased. This EID is used to activate your license on the local machine.
The EID is a text string composed of 32 characters, letters, and numbers. Activation of an EID is performed over a live internet connection. If you do not have a live connection, you will need to activate your license offline.
If you purchased a Cimatron dongle, when you plug it into a Cimatron PC that is connected to the internet, the EID is ready to activate via the Cimatron License Manager. If the dongle is plugged into a machine that is not connected to the internet, contact your Cimatron vendor.
Note: Some very old dongles are not supported and will need to be upgraded. For more information, contact your Cimatron vendor.
For more, see Activate Cimatron.
If you purchased a computer based license, the EID is sent via email. Copy this text string into the Cimatron License Manager and click Activate.
For more, see Activate Cimatron.
You must set a Base Package to open Cimatron. This is done via the Package Manager. Any valid license must contain at least one base package.
If there is only one Base Package available in all the valid licenses, it is automatically selected.
If there is more than one Base Package available for you, the Package Manager is displayed listing the available Packages and you are required to select one.
