Close Open Gaps 
Access: Open this function from the following location:
-
Select Faces > Create Faces > Close Open Gaps from the menu bar.
Create faces that close open gaps in a skin of stitched faces
A gap is regarded as an island or any closed loop of open (free) edges; for example, those highlighted in red in the middle picture below.

The part before the Close Open Gaps function locates gaps. |
The same part after the function finds open gaps and highlights them in red. In this case, the part was picked using By Box. |
Various options can be used to close these open gaps. |

Note: If new faces are used to close gaps (see Options and Results), the default color of the new faces is defined in the Preferences.
