M-Views - Creating
Access: In the Tree Pane click the M-View tab, right-click and select New M-View.
Creating M-Views allows you to easily group together display parameters or sets.

The M-View Feature Guide lets you define the characteristics of the M-View:

Remember: You can open the Feature Guide at any time on the graphic display by right-clicking. |
Required Step 1 : Set the projection of the M-View, zoom, pan and rotate (ZPR), and parts filter. Set the parameters.
Optional Step 1 : Pick a sketched line which becomes a section line that automatically sections the part or assembly.
Optional Step 2 : This Section Off List step allows you to select which components will be excluded from the section.

M-Views can be created using the following methods:
As Displayed
Create a view by defining zoom, pan, and rotate of the part or assembly. The Hide/Show status of all objects and components is kept as it was when the M-View was created.

Toggle the By Sets/As Displayed button to As Displayed and

Use the ZPR and view options to manipulate the view as required.
A line drawn in the Sketcher can then be defined as a section line.

By Sets
The Hide/Show status of objects and components is determined by selecting which sets are ON and which are OFF.

Toggle the By Sets/As Displayed button to By Sets. The Set Filter is displayed:

Select which sets you want to include in the M-View and click OK.
