Fully contained only

Only select entities that are fully within the dragged selection area.

Include partially contained

Select entities that are fully or partially within the dragged selection area.

The following parameter lets you decide whether you want partially and/or fully contained entities to be selected within the dragged selection area. This is the default option.

Right to Left: Fully contained only

Drag the selection area from right to left (counter-clockwise) to select only those entities that are fully within the selection area.

Left to Right: Include partially contained

Drag the selection area from left to right (clockwise) to select all entities that are fully or partially within the selection area.

Note: For Mesh operations using the Split & Select option (such as Split/Copy Facets), the selection direction is irrelevant; the result is the same.

Select the following checkbox as follows:

Keep selection after modifying attributes

Select this checkbox to keep the entity in selection mode after modifying an entity's color, line width, and line font. This avoids the necessity of re-selecting the entity each time when modifying these attributes.

To clear the selection, press the Clear Selection button.

Define the Selection Filter settings:

Most functions require picking some geometry, which makes the geometry filters an indispensable item. This toggle button enables you to disable the default filter setting for each function (also for each step and option of the function) and instead set your own.

Use Cimatron default filter state

Use the Cimatron default filter state. This uses the predefined filter states for each function, step and option.
This is the default option.

Keep last used filter state in each tool

Use the last used filter state. This uses the last used filter state for each function, step, or option. This means that if filters were changed for a specific function, step, or option, those filters will automatically be used when invoking that operation again.

Reset Filter Defaults

Reset all filter states that were changed and kept (using the Keep Filters button) to the default Cimatron filter selection options. A message is displayed prompting confirmation of this operation.

Brush Selection Size: Set the default brush size when selecting entities by the Brush option.

Diameter Default: 2 mm
Min.: 0.01, Max.: 100 mm

Smooth Selection Angle: Set the default smooth angle when selecting entities by the Expand to Smooth option.
