Display, Analyze & Edit Cutter Motions

Once the toolpath is created and the procedure has been executed, perform operations on the toolpath to display and analyze the toolpath or edit cutter motions (Navigator, Global Filter, Motion Editor).

The following tools can be used for toolpath analysis operations:

Navigator

The Navigator is used as a tool to control the display of the toolpath and to analyze it.

Global Filter

Procedure motions can be displayed by using the Global Filter. The display of these motions can be controlled by motion type, hide/show, and color control.

Controlling the display by motion type provides a clearer display of the toolpath for a better analysis and understanding the toolpath results.

Motion Editor

The Motion Editor is a set of tools to manually handle toolpaths. It is composed of various options such as:

  • Manually trim (project) portions of the toolpath.

  • Apply local/global changes to the toolpath.

  • Provide tools to add entry/exit and air connections to the new portions of the toolpath.

  • Check gouges of motions, entry, and connections.

  • Ability to cancel changes and keep the original toolpath.

Colors of Cutter Motions

Changing cutter motion color can be easily done within the Process Manager.

Hide/Show Operations

For display purposes, you may want to hide the cutter and/or the motions of one or more procedures.
