Electrode Templates
Cimatron uses various types of templates to speed up the work process and automate different operations.
An Electrode Template holds the electrode features and some of the parameters used to design an electrode. You can use it to save time by creating the entire geometry of an electrode (once the electrode burning faces were defined) automatically.
Using Electrode Templates (see below)
Loading (Applying) an Electrode Template
Loading (Applying) an Electrode Template By Ref. Selection
Saving (Creating) an Electrode Template
Note: All user-defined templates are stored in the same location.
Using Electrode Templates
You can use Electrode Templates to build several templates for typical electrodes (typical means that each type has the same set of features, not the same type of geometry). You can create several templates holding only the Blanks (including advanced blank features such as marking or stepped blanks) and Holders and other templates holding the entire geometry, including all extensions and an Electrode UCS.
Saving a template will keep all the parameters and features used in a specific electrode. Loading and using the template will apply those features to a new or existing electrode part.
