Surface Milling - Legacy Procedures > By Layers

Finish waterline cutting. Finish milling of a volume defined by part surfaces. Cutting is performed in a downwards order.

1. For Technology, choose Surface Milling as the main selection, and Legacy Procedures > By Layers as the subselection.

2. Choose the appropriate cutter.

3. Define the contours, part surfaces, and part2 surfaces.

4. Define the following Motion Parameters:

   • Approach & Retract

   • Clearance & UCS

   • Entry & End Points

   • Boundary Settings

   • Tolerance & Surf. Offset

   • Tool Trajectory

   • Machine Between Layers

   • Stock

   • Optimizer

   • User Parameters

5. Define the Machine Parameters.

6. When finished, you can choose from the following Work Mode Dialog buttons:

   • Save & Close to suspend

   • Save & Calculate to execute

   • Save Original

   • Cancel
