Attributes Manager

Access: Open this function from the following location:

  • Cimatron Control Panel: Select Start > All Programs > Cimatron > Cimatron Control Panel.

    Select Settings > Attributes Manager.

The Attributes Manager enables you to add, edit, delete, or translate attributes that appear in the Properties pane of the Cimatron Explorer. These attributes appear in the General and Advanced tabs within the Properties pane.

The following types of attributes are available:

  • System attributes: These are Cimatron defined and cannot be changed by the user. Their values are updated automatically by the application on run time. For example, Modification Date, Path, etc..

  • Catalog attributes: Catalogs, Categories, etc., and are supplied by Cimatron. These attributes cannot be changed.

  • DI parameters attributes: These are Data Interface attributes and are supplied by Cimatron. These attributes cannot be changed.

  • User-defined attributes: These are the only attributes that can be changed. Cimatron supplies several default attributes of this type.

The following operations can be carried out from the Attributes Manager:

Add, edit or delete attributes (user-defined attributes only)

Translate attributes (with the appropriate authorization)

The Cimatron Attributes Manager dialog is displayed:

Only user-defined attributes are displayed and these are sorted alphabetically.

System resource files are located in the following folder:

...\ProgramData\Cimatron\Cimatron\2026.0\Data\Resource

English resource files are stored in the English sub-folder under Resource.

Notes:

  • Only user-defined attributes can be changed using the Attributes Manager.

  • The attributes Material, Heat_treatness, Hardness and cannot be modified via the Attributes Manager. To add your own Material, Heat_treatness, and Hardness values, contact your Cimatron Provider or Reseller.

  • When installing a later release of Cimatron, the current Attribute Translation Map file (AttrTrnMap.xml) containing the current attributes (including any attribute parameters that you may have changed) will automatically be merged with the new AttrTrnMap.xml during the installation procedure.
