Recreate Assembly 
Access: Invoke this function from the following location:

Select Tools > Tools > Recreate Assembly from the menu bar when all files are closed.
Recreate Assembly is used to recreate an existing assembly file, where severe problems in the original assembly make it impossible to continue working with it. The recreated assembly contains the original components and preserves the original assembly structure. External references, assembly features and operations, and connects are not recreated.
The Recreate Assembly dialog is displayed.
Interaction

Define the assembly to be recreated in the Set Assembly to Recreate field.
Open : Open the Cimatron Explorer and select the appropriate assembly file. The full path name of the selected assembly is displayed.

Define the name of the new (recreated) assembly in the Assembly Name field. The default name is <original assembly name> and add the extension #1.
The new assembly will be created in the same directory where the original assembly is located.
Sub-assemblies will automatically be renamed according to the following rule:
Keep the original name and add the extension #1. If the name already exists, the extension is #2, etc..
The new created assembly will have the same assembly structure.
The following data is preserved:

The new created assembly will use the original components (parts) in order to preserve the history and attributes (QuickSplit tree, M-Views, Sets, and so on).

Catalog parts will be connected to the catalog.

Instances will be preserved as instances.

Component transformation (location/orientation) will be preserved.

All components in the created assembly will be fixed.

Server and clients will be connected to the new created assembly (reconnected to the new assembly).

The color, transparency and visibility attributes of each component is kept.
The following data is not preserved:

The Fix/Float status (all components will be fixed).

Assembly features/operations.

Suppressed parts will be un-suppressed (unless it is possible to suppress the relevant parts).

Press OK
to complete the function.
When the recreate operation has finished, an appropriate message is displayed informing you of the success or failure of the operation.
