Feature Tree Popup Operations

Feature Tree popup submenus are displayed by right-clicking on an item in the appropriate tree. The popup submenu displayed will depend upon the item selected.

Note: Multiple features can be selected from the Feature Tree.

ObjectObject: Hide/Show, Hide Other, Activate Object, Measuring, Select EntitiesSelect Entities(select all highlighted entities. This option is grayed out if entity selection is not applicable), Clear Selection.

FeatureFeature: Edit FeatureEdit Feature(see Editing a Feature in Part or Editing a Feature in Assembly), Edit Reference FeatureEdit Reference Feature(see Editing a Sketch/Composite in Part or Editing a Sketch/Composite in Assembly), Insert, Jump To, Reset History, Delete Feature, Rename FeatureRename Feature, Suppress, Relations Analyzer, Select EntitiesSelect Entities(select all highlighted entities. This option is grayed out if entity selection is not applicable), Clear Selection, Rename Feature Parameters, Add Folder, Remove From FolderRemove From Folder(remove the selected items from the folder and return them to their original location in the tree; empty folders are not deleted. This option is available when invoking the popup menu on one or more features inside a folder (and only if all the selected features are inside the same folder).

Rename Feature

To rename a feature from the Feature Tree, do either of the following:

Right-click on the feature in the tree, select Rename Feature from the popup submenu and enter the new name.
Select the feature in the tree, click it again and enter the new name.

SketchSketch: Show/Hide Sketch/Contour (that was used to create the component), Edit FeatureEdit Feature(see Editing a Feature in Part or Editing a Feature in Assembly), Edit Reference FeatureEdit Reference Feature(see Editing a Sketch/Composite in Part or Editing a Sketch/Composite in Assembly) , Insert, Jump To, Reset History, Delete Feature, Rename FeatureRename Feature, Suppress, Relations Analyzer, Select EntitiesSelect Entities(select all highlighted entities. Rename Feature

To rename a feature from the Feature Tree, do either of the following:

Right-click on the feature in the tree, select Rename Feature from the popup submenu and enter the new name.
Select the feature in the tree, click it again and enter the new name.

FolderFolder: Rename FolderRename Folder(rename the folder), Remove FolderRemove Folder(delete the selected empty folder(s); this option is available when right-clicking on one or more empty folders), Explode FolderExplode Folder (remove the contents of the folder and return them to their original location in the tree; the selected folder is deleted), Delete Feature, Suppress, Add Folder, Select EntitiesSelect Entities(select all highlighted entities. This option is grayed out if entity selection is not applicable), Clear Selection.

When right-clicking multiple folders, the Rename Folder, Remove Folder and Add Folder options are not available.

This option is grayed out if entity selection is not applicable), Clear Selection, Rename Feature Parameters, Add Folder.

Rename Feature

To rename a feature from the Feature Tree, do either of the following:

Right-click on the feature in the tree, select Rename Feature from the popup submenu and enter the new name.
Select the feature in the tree, click it again and enter the new name.

Export ActiveExport Active: Update & Disassociate, Ignore Update, Delete Feature.

Cut ActiveCut Active: Switch to ImportSwitch to Import, EditEdit(see Editing a Feature in Part or Editing a Feature in Assembly), Update & Disassociate, Ignore Update, Delete Feature, Add Folder, Select EntitiesSelect Entities(select all highlighted entities. This option is grayed out if entity selection is not applicable), Clear Selection.

This enables you to switch to the Import option of the Cut Active function. This option is grayed out except for the following cases:

- The feature is in "Insert" (gray) in the part or the feature is suppressed (black).
- If the Cut option was used in the function.
