Procedures: Reorder - Manual

Access: Open this function from one of the following locations:

Select NC Process > Post & Report > Post Process from the menu bar.
Click the Post Process button in the NC Guide.
Click the Post Process button in the Job Manager.
Right-click on an item in the Process Manager, or anywhere in the graphics window when no procedure is active, and select NC Guide Commands > Post Process from the popup menu.

Select and order procedures for Post Processing, NC Setup Reporting, Machining Simulation and also when adding a new job via the Job Manager. The process is similar for each of these dialogs.

Automatic grouping and sorting options, as well as manual reordering capabilities, enable you to rearrange the order of the selected procedures for the required process. The automatic reordering maintains the technological integrity, such that no cut is performed if the previous cut in the same area has not yet been performed.

The Post Process dialog is used for examples.

Procedures in the Sequence pane can be reordered manually. See also: Group, Sort, Interference Test and Buttons.

Drag and Drop	Popup Menu

The following operations are possible manually:

Drag and Drop. Drag and drop operations are available in the Sequence pane.

Select one or more NC Setups, groups or procedures and drag to the required location. The selected items are highlighted and the target destination is marked by a red line. When releasing the left mouse button, the selected items are relocated to the target destination.

One or more NC Setups can be selected.

One or more groups within the same NC Setup can be selected.

One or more procedures within the same group can be selected.

Popup Menu. Right-click operations, displaying popup menus, are available in both the Available Procedures and the Sequence panes. The menus are in addition to the Column Chooser option available by right-clicking in the header of each pane, as mentioned before.

Available Procedures pane: Right-clicking anywhere in this pane displays a popup menu with the following options:

Expand All	Expand all folders in the pane.
Collapse All	Collapse all folders in the pane

Sequence pane: Right-clicking in this pane displays a popup menu containing different options, depending on the location of the cursor. These menus are as displayed above.

Cut	Cut the selected item(s). See the Cut and Paste information below, for keyboard operations.
Paste	Paste the selected item(s) at the location indicated. See the Cut and Paste information below, for keyboard operations.
Remove Other	Remove all other items except the selected item and its parent group.
Create New Group	Create a new group and name it.
Remove NC Setup	Remove an NC Setup.
Remove Group	Remove an empty group.
Rename	Rename a group.
Expand All	Expand all folders in the pane.
Collapse All	Collapse all folders in the pane.

Cut and Paste - Keyboard. Cut (CTRL+X) and paste (CTRL+V) operations are available in the Sequence pane.

Select one or more groups or procedures, cut and paste in the required location. The selected items are highlighted and are moved when the paste command is implemented.

One or more NC Setups can be selected.

One or more groups within the same NC Setup can be selected.

One or more procedures within the same group can be selected.

If an NC Setup is pasted, it is placed after the selected target NC Setup (it is not placed in the middle of an existing NC Setup).

If a group is pasted, it is placed after the selected target group (it is not placed in the middle of an existing group).
