Creating a Sweep Face - Detailed Interaction of All Options
-
Delta/Reference: Sweep the selected geometry on one or both sides, either by Delta (by a given value and direction) or by Reference (to a reference face, plane or point).
-
Delta Mid Plane: Sweep the selected geometry on both sides, by the same value and direction.
Examples
It is possible to sweep a 2D curve or composite curve in a direction tangential to the sweep's profile and singularity or from a self-intersecting face. The system will create a copy of the 2D edge / wire-body in the direction (in the 2D plane) defined by the user, and will close the geometry with 2 lines and finally create a (2D) bounded face on the result.
Line type curves from the 3D composite will be ignored and the remaining curves will be swept separately.
