Cut along the edge of closed contours, while following the shape of multiple part surfaces.

Create this procedure

See Creating a Procedure for a general explanation.

1. For Technology, choose Surface Milling as the main selection, and Profile Closed Contour as the subselection.

2. Choose the appropriate cutter.

3. Define the contours (closed), part surfaces, and check surfaces.
   (Note that the NC Parameters in the  Contour Manager have changed for this procedure. The Direction parameter has been replaced with the Cutting Mode parameter.)

4. Define the following Motion Parameters:

   • Approach & Retract

   • Clearance & UCS

   • Entry & End Points

   • Boundary Settings

   • Tolerance & Surf. Offset

   • Tool Trajectory

   • Stock

   • Optimizer

   • User Parameters

5. Define the Machine Parameters.

6. When finished, you can choose from the following Work Mode Dialog buttons:

   • Save & Close to suspend

   • Save & Calculate to execute

   • Save Original

   • Cancel
