Remachine - Legacy Procedures > Along Contour All Area On Surface

Access:

  1. Create a procedure.

  2. For Technology, choose Remachine as the main selection, and Legacy Procedures > Along Contour All Area On Surface as the subselection.

Create alternating passes, tangent to the milling surface. This allows for true Climb or Conventional milling. In addition, approach and retract motions are surface tangent arcs, providing smooth approach and retract.
In Along Contour All Area On Surface, both horizontal and vertical areas are milled the same way, on surface.

How to create this procedure: (see Creating a Procedure for a general explanation.)

  1. For Technology, choose Remachine as the main selection, and Legacy Procedures > Along Contour All Area On Surface as the subselection.

  2. Choose the appropriate cutter.

  3. Define the contours, part surfaces, and check surfaces.

  4. Define the following Motion Parameters:

  5. Define the Machine Parameters.

  1. When finished, you can choose from the following Work Mode Dialog buttons:

    • Save & Close to suspend

    • Save & Calculate to execute

    • Save Original

    • Cancel

(These options are also available on the Procedure popup submenu.)

Notes:

  • To mill only vertical areas, using Constant Z down steps, choose the Remachine - Legacy Procedures > Only Vertical Area.

  • To automate the Cleanup procedure, choose Remachine sub selection Cleanup.
