Volume Milling - Legacy Procedures > Zcut Parallel

Access:

  1. Create a procedure.

  2. For Technology, choose Volume Milling as the main selection, and Legacy Procedures > ZCut Parallel as the subselection.

In ZCut milling, volume material is removed from enclosed regions defined by a boundary contour and islands. The milling follows the surfaces.

In ZCut Parallel, milling is performed by cutter passes that are parallel when viewed from the Z direction (the milling follows surfaces rather than cutting in Z layers).

  1. For Technology, choose Volume Milling as the main selection, and Legacy Procedures > ZCut Parallel as the subselection.

  2. Choose the appropriate cutter.

  3. Define the Geometry; the contours, part surfaces, and check surfaces.

  4. Define the following Motion Parameters:

  5. Define the Machine Parameters .

  1. When finished, you can choose from the following Work Mode Dialog buttons:

    • Save & Close to suspend

    • Save & Calculate to execute

    • Save Original

    • Cancel
