PMI Functions
Access: Open this group of functions from the following location:

Select Tools > PMI from the menu bar. Select the required function.
The following PMI functions appear under the Tools > PMI Tools menu and/or the PMI Toolbar in the Modeling environment.

|
Convert PMI Curve Text (created by the Curve Text PMI function) to standard wireframe curve text features. |
|
|
Create PMI Coordinate Label symbols and assign them to appropriate entities. |
|
|
Create PMI Text that can be used as a curve. Create and position PMI text from text defined in any language, font, or according to specific parameters. The result is an annotation that behaves as geometry when exported to NC, Drafting, or external files. In an assembly, this function is available when a part is activated. |

|
Create a PMI Datum Target symbol and assign it to the appropriate entity. |
|
|
Delete PMI regardless of the currently active part. |
|
|
Create PMI Dimension symbols and assign them to appropriate entities. |
|
|
Create PMI Geometrical Datum symbols and assign them to appropriate entities. |
|
|
Create PMI Geometrical Tolerance symbols and assign them to appropriate entities. |
|
|
Replace multiple Curve Text PMI annotations throughout the assembly. This replaces all instances of the selected text throughout the assembly. |

|
The PMI Styles and Settings enables you to control the default style for drawing newly-created symbols. |
|
|
Create PMI Surface Finish symbols and assign them to appropriate entities. |
|
|
Create PMI Surface Roughness symbols and assign them to appropriate entities. |
|
|
Create PMI Text labels and assign them to appropriate entities. |
|
|
Update PMI data. In some cases (especially for symbolic text), the PMI might not be updated automatically. |
