Filter

Enable/Disable Keep Filters in Tools

Most functions require picking some geometry, which makes the geometry filters an indispensable item. This toggle button enables you to disable the default filter setting for each function (also for each step and option of the function) and instead set your own.

Your filter choices will be kept for as long as this icon remains ON. Switching it OFF will return the functions back to the default filter settings.

OFF

Use the Cimatron default filter state. This uses the predefined filter states for each function, step and option.
This is the default option.

ON

Use the last used filter state. This uses the last used filter state for each function, step, or option. This means that if filters were changed for a specific function, step, or option, those filters will automatically be used when invoking that operation again.

Note: These settings can also be defined in Preferences. In addition, all filter states that were changed and kept (using the Keep Filters button) can be Reset in the same Preferences.

When picking a part that belongs to a sub-assembly:When picking a part that belongs to a sub-assembly:

Pick the part.

A dialog is displayed showing the name of the sub-assembly and the name of the picked part.

Moving the cursor over the dialog highlights a name and the corresponding part.

In this case, cut 3 suffix is the part initially picked. If the highlighted name is picked . . .
