The Sketcher Toolbar

Access: Either:

  1. Click the Sketcher button from the toolbar.

  2. Right-click in the graphic area and select Sketcher from the popup submenu.

  3. Select Curves > Sketcher from the menu bar.

Select a sketcher plane before you can start sketching.

The Sketcher toolbar is now displayed to the right of the display area.

See Accessing the Sketcher.

The Sketcher (2D Drawing) Toolbar is located on the right side of the Cimatron window and is used to manipulate view geometry as well as to add 2D geometry to existing views.

The Sketcher toolbar is displayed after you have accessed the Sketcher and selected the 2D Sketcher Plane. Toolbar buttons are available for every Sketcher function and option.

To exit an option, you can:

  1. Click another button

  2. Press exit, returning to Select mode.

  3. Deselect the button, returning to Select mode.

Note: For the Trim function, pressing exit will return you to the function you were using last, not necessary to Select mode. For instance, if you are creating an arc and then enter Trim, when you are finished trimming and press exit, you will return to the Arc function.

The Sketcher toolbar consists of the following:

Sketcher Tools

Display additional sketcher tools.

The following options are available:

Load Sketch

Load an SKF file into the existing sketch.

Save Sketch

Save the existing sketch to an SKF file.

Constraint Filter

Define which constraints will be highlighted and created automatically.

Show Open Points

Show open end points of curves that are not connected to other curves.

Close Points

Close the gap between open end points of curves by modifying the curves.

Auto Reference - Allow

Allow the Sketcher to take automatic references (taken for visible entities without adding them as references).

Auto Reference - Show

Show automatic references (taken for visible entities without adding them as references).

Delete Constraints and Relations

Delete all dimensional and geometrical constraints and relations.

Show Constraints

Show all the constraints in the entire sketch.

Show Immediate Constraints
